Canada Day Celebrations in Fundy Royal

July 01, 2007 -- Canada Day was celebrated in Fundy Royal by many communities. Due to July 1st falling on Sunday, there were events on both Saturday and Sunday. Rob as the Member of Parliament was in demand and attended as many events as possible. The events started on Saturday at the Kingston Farmers Market then on to a parade in Alma. Stephen Harper kicked off his New Brunswick tour with a visit to Quispamsis in Fundy Royal, Thursday August 18th, 2005. A large crowd of supporters gathered at Tim Horton's in Quispamsis to meet the Leader of the Official Opposition. All who came had an opportunity to meet Stephen and spend some time with him. Mr. Harper had just arrived from touring a number of ridings in Nova Scotia as part of the 2005 Summer Tour and was on his way to events in Saint John. Rob greeted Mr. Harper as he arrived at the Saint John airport and drove him and Conservative Candidate for Saint John, John Wallace to Quispamsis and then on to Saint John. Rob Moore MP Fundy Royal and Vic Toews MP Provencher Manitoba, toured the ridings of Saint John, Fredericton and Tobique Mactaquac and met with many Municipal, Provincial, Police and religious leaders. On Thursday July 21st Rob Moore toured the Fundy Trail with an emphasis on the Phase II portion of the trail. Phase II will see the completion of the Fundy Trail Parkway from Big Salmon River to the Fundy National Park at Alma.
