Appointing A New Ambassador
June 28, 2010 – Toronto – The Honourable Rob Moore, Minister of Small Business and Tourism, was pleased to appoint Mr. Akshay Kumar as the Canadian Tourism Commission’s new tourism ambassador to India. The Honourable John Baird and members of the Canadian Tourism Commission were also present at the event.
Mr. Kumar is a film star in India, and will use his influence to promote Canada. In 2008, tourists to Canada from India spent $122 million.
