Rob handing out Parks Passes to Grade 8 Students
Rob Announces "My Parks Pass" Program
May 17, 2010 -- Quispamsis -- The Honourable Rob Moore, Minister of Small Business and Tourism, was at Quispamsis Middle School to give each of the 200 Grade 8 students a free 1-year pass for 27 national parks and 68 historical sites across Canada. This national program aims to ensure that our youth will be able to see more of our country's natural beauty.
"We're encouraging young people to get out and enjoy the outdoors and take in some of their national parks and national historic sites," said Minister Moore. "Young people have a lot of influence over what their parents do for vacation."
New Brunswick is home to Fundy National Park and Kouchibouguac National Park. Additionally, there are seven historical sites scattered throughout the province.
