New Horizons for Seniors Call for Applications

April 27, 2007 -- On Friday April 27, 2007 the Conservative Government announced a national Call for Applications for the New Horizons for Seniors Program for the fiscal year 2007-2008. In total, $19.5 million in funding is available to support projects by non-profit organizations that encourage seniors to contribute and get involved in their communities across Canada.

Canada's Government recognizes the important and continuing role seniors play in strengthening and building our communities. This is why we are investing in seniors and encouraging them to stay active, share their knowledge and help others within their communities.

The deadline to submit all applications is June 29, 2007.
